Party in Stockholm (ESC edition)

Party in Stockholm (ESC edition)

Tonight it’s Eurovision Song Contest finals in my beautiful city called Stockholm! It’s so cool that the competition finally arrived to the capital aka. the heart of Sweden after 16 years because last time we won in 2012 it was in Malmö.

The city is currently in full Eurovision mode and it’s nice to see that Swedish people feel proud and enjoying the warm atmosphere with people from other parts of Europe and it’s also a big plus that we have AMAZING weather these days! I will not see the finals at the arena even though it would be really awesome but I will watch it with my family like every year and just have lots of snacks and of course me complaining during the voting haha.

Yesterday I was in Stockholm with my best friend and we passed Kungsträdgården and there were so many people just chilling and the city felt alive which I loved! Like I have mentioned few months ago, Eurovision Song Contest is a huge thing here and that it’s happening in home arena is just golden stars written in the Swedish Schlager bible haha. For those who currently are in Stockholm, hope you all are really enjoying the city!

Let me know if you want me to make a post about Stockholm, places to see or other practicle things!

Tonight, we are going to party like we did 2000 (Stockholm style) and may the best song/country win! *cheers*

NU KÖR VI!

Rolling down the snowy hill

Rolling down the snowy hill

Gosh! I’m finally done reading the book and now I have to write a seven pages essay due Sunday, then I’m free almost two weeks before the new classes starts.

I will soon share some things in the blog that will come up this month so make sure to stay tune haha! It’s been freezing cold here these days and… OMG! Just checked my phone and it’s -19 C (almost -2 F). Thank goodness, it’s warm inside… but at the same time it’s 1 AM so of course it’s going to be colder right now! Earlier today I took a walk to the nearby lake and took some pictures, it looked really pretty and the lake was frozen that you could walk on it. This is the winter I remember from my childhood, when the teachers used to forc us to go outside with out hundered layers of clothes looking like Swedish meatballs and freeze till we started to cry ice while the teachers were inside drinking tea and eating cookies haha.

Animals in the tree

Animals in the tree

I think Elsa from Frozen just arrived Sweden and she took the coldness with her, thanks girl! Yes it’s that time of the year most Swedes don’t like: the early signs of winter! When the first snow hits the ground then you’ll know that it is here to stay a while. We have been kind of lucky to have somehow milder winters but these days have been so freaking cold that I had to switch to my winter jacket instead of my coat! Right now it is -6 C but earlier today it was around -2 C when I went out! I really regretted it and wanted to stay in bed haha.

Jealous much?

Today I decided to take a trip to all Swedes second home; yes I’m talking about IKEA haha. I wanted to check out a new table lamp and other small things. When we arrived there, the cozy X-mas feels was welcoming everyone with lots of lights, trees, Julbock, advent decorations etc. Since I have been lost in my own bubble, it took me a while to understand that 2015 is soon over and that time flies too fast! Well, I managed to find some things so it was ok going out in the cold (to the car and to IKEA haha).
